How can I book a trip on one of your boats?
Trips may be booked using the form on this site.
All trips must be payed for in advance
Our main business is providing casual trips for visitors who just turn up at our landing stage at Pulteney Weir. Our boats have a large seating capacity and it is not uncommon for parties of 20 or 30 people to take a trip is this way. All specially booked trips must be paid for in advance. In special circumstances if you have made prior arrangments we may allow parties from the same organisation to make bookings at short notice and to bring a voucher for payment on the day.
No, we only accept cheques (with bankers card) or cash.
Can our party bring its own food and drink?
Yes, you can set up your own party. Any food or drink is ok to bring on board. Power is available for disco music.
You must take you own rubbish away after the trip.
What is the length of the trip?
The shortest trip is one hour. This time can be extended by mooring at Bathamptom. It is also possible to arrange to stop at the Boatman Restaurant or Bathampton for a drink or meal.
What happens if the weather is bad or the river is in flood?
All our vessels have heated cabins which hold approximatly half the total number of passengers allowed on the vessel. This is typically about 40 people. If you party is this number or less it is quite easy to enjoy a trip in bad weather at any time of the year. If the river is in flood it may be necessary for us to cancel you trip at short notice. This is for safety reasons and un-avoidable. It is therfore important that the contact details on your booking are accurate.
